Bob Anderson has been active as a writer, producer, director, editor, and special effects designer for more than 25 years.
His work has been distributed internationally by Pyramid Media in more than thirty countries. His work has also been broadcast on ABC, CBS, HBO, and screened at Disney World’s EPCOT, The National Gallery of Art, the Creative Artists Agency and two theme parks in Japan.
In production: a theme park ride-film for a client’s theater in Oita, Japan, using a specially-equipped 70mm 3D camera.
Production Company in Los Angeles
Bob joined forces with renown Disney show designer, Rick Harper. Together, they headed up an L.A. production company for 15 years doing TV commercials, documentaries, special effects, corporate identity films, educational films, and theme park ‘ride-films.’ Each film genre provided an opportunity to push the creative envelope into pioneer territory.

Bob edits a theme park film on a 35mm flatbed.
The final cut went to VistaVision and then to 70mm in 3D.
The World’s First 3D / Simulator Combination Film
One of Bob’s theme park films is Time Machine Of Dreams, a 3D computer-generated ride-film for San Rio. Bob served as Writer, Co-Producer and Co-Editor while Rick Harper was Director and Co-Producer.
This project was the world’s first 3D / Simulator Combination film. It was projected on a 55-foot wide screen with motion-programmed seats custom made by Mitsubishi.
The 70mm film was rendered at 4,000 lines of resolution, ran at 30 frames per second, and was shown with an 11-channel discrete sound system, laser and smoke effects, and a robotic main character.
The massive theater built for Bob's Time Machine of Dreams, utilized 240 motion-programmed seats custom-made by Mitsubishi.
The theater entrance is being
prepared for opening day.
Bob supervises the recording of a majestic film score performed by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra for his film.

Education
Bob studied film production at California Institute of the Arts (Walt Disney’s “dream school of collaboration”) where he won a scholarship based on the merits of his portfolio.
He was also awarded by Cal Arts the prestigious position of personal assistant to faculty member and distinguished British film director, Alexander Mackendrick.
It was also here at Cal Arts that Bob met Rick Harper, and in the ensuing years they began producing a wide variety of films together.
